Roadmap: Built on user feedback 🔄

Every customer request moves through your workflow — from submitted idea to planned to in progress to completed — and your public roadmap reflects it in real time.

For the team behind the roadmap ⚡

Assign ownership, set deadlines, and control visibility. Switch between Kanban and list views, take bulk actions, and keep your backlog organized — all from the same place your feedback lives.

From user feedback to changelog updates

Start by collecting feedback on your Nolt board. As ideas gain traction, prioritize and plan them on your roadmap. When features are ready, publish a changelog entry to keep users informed — and show them their feedback made a difference.

What is a product roadmap?
A product roadmap is a shared view of where your product is headed — what you're building now, what's coming next, and what's already shipped. It keeps your team, stakeholders, and customers aligned on direction without a meeting every time someone asks what you're working on. The best roadmaps show the why behind each item, not just the what.
What should a product roadmap include?
At minimum, a product roadmap should include what you're working on now, what's planned next, and what's already shipped, each with a clear status. Strong roadmaps go further and show the customer requests behind every item, so people understand why something is prioritized — not just what it is.
Do my customers need to create an account to vote or follow the roadmap?
No. Customers can view and vote on your public roadmap without creating an account — removing that signup step is one of the biggest drivers of participation. You can also enable SSO so users already logged into your product vote automatically, with no separate Nolt account to manage.
What's the difference between Nolt and a project management tool like Jira?
Jira is built for your engineering team's internal workflow — tracking bugs, sprints, and technical tickets. Nolt is the layer between your team and your customers: it collects their requests, shows them what's on your public roadmap, and notifies them when features ship. A Jira ticket captures what to build; Nolt captures who asked and why.
How is the roadmap connected to customer feedback?
Your public roadmap isn't a separate tool — it's your feedback posts organized by status. Each item links back to the request behind it, so customers see the demand driving every decision. Move a post from Planned to In Progress, and the roadmap updates instantly, with everyone following it notified automatically.

Nolt made it easy to publish our product roadmap for users and collect feedback directly from our customers. Nolt is by far the easiest tool on the market for accomplishing a public roadmap and collecting customer feedback.

Josh Merryman
MessageDesk

We are big fans of Nolt. The amount of feedback, feature requests and discussions has increased significantly. With the voting system, it never feels overwhelming. We are so much more in control of our roadmap and closer to the community with our releases.
