Could you provide an overview of Weglot and your background?
I’m one of the co-founders, the CTO. Originally, we started Weglot eight years ago, in 2015. It was after a failed startup, which was a website to buy and sell stuff, but it didn’t work. So I was looking for another idea, and I remembered that I had a huge pain translating the previous website, and I decided to launch a product, a Saas, that would make any website multilingual. You can have a payment with Stripe or any other API based Saas. That was the original idea, make any website multilingual easily, and that’s what we do today.
We built it as a software that you can integrate with any website, no matter how it’s built, CMS or non-CMS, and it will make it multilingual in 10 minutes. All you have to do is review content, and you can collaborate with your team. You have a nice interface dashboard where you can do everything and make sure you can have quality translations on your websites.
What challenges led you to look for a solution like Nolt?
I think it was a few years in, not from the beginning of Weglot. To be honest, I don’t remember when we signed up for Nolt. It may be around 2020 January, so at this time we are a bit bigger, and we are starting to plan a roadma,p and I think one of the developers suggested having a public roadmap where people can make suggestions etc. So, at the end we didn't make an exact public roadmap but we kept the idea that people could upvote for suggestions/features that they want us to do and Nolt was doing this.
I don’t remember exactly how we found Nolt, I think our developer suggested a few tools and we looked at Nolt as well. It seemed like a very simple product, not too many things in Nolt, just a roadmap and an upvote system, so we picked Nolt.

What problems does Nolt solve for you guys in your company right now?
It allows our users to suggest features easily, otherwise we would have to build the platform ourselves. We integrated Nolt in our software directly, as a link, where people can make their own suggestions or upvote existing suggestions.
How does the workflow look like at Weglot?
I would say we look at the top upvotes, so if there are a lot of votes on something, we know that we should do it, depending on the topic, we make it a priority or not. Sometimes it’s a big change, but sometimes it’s a quick one so even if there aren’t a lot of upvotes but it’s a quick one we can just make it a priority. It’s mostly upvotes and difficulty that determine if we do it or not.
How did you find the setup process?
I don’t remember, but I think it was fine.
Since implementing Nolt, what are the benefits you and your team realized? Does it help you save time or make it easy to listen to your customers?
I would not say the time, but it helps us work on things that matter the most for our users. Sometimes we try to update our users about the progress of the features, we mark it as in-progress but we don’t do it on everything.
If you had to describe Nolt in one sentence, what would it be?
Nolt is the tool that allows your users to upvote for features that they want to see and also make their suggestions.
