Could you provide an overview of Arc Studio and the problem that you solve?
Arc Studio is a screenwriting app. Screenwriting as in Netflix shows, television, or film. The industry standard screenwriting software is kind of old-school, very offline, but these teams have been working together in bigger teams.
Arc Studio is like Google Docs for them, where they can collaborate in real time, exchange notes, and also outline and think about the story. It's like a one-stop suite for creating a television show.

What challenges led you to look for a solution like nolt?
I just felt that having a place where people can send ideas, where they feel welcome to post ideas, or just to have a touchpoint where you can exchange ideas as a community is very important.
How do you guys use Nolt at Arc Studio?
We link it from the app in places, so if people click a button they get the option to either ask a question, report a problem, or give feedback. Similarly, there are a few other places in the app where they can do that.
We mostly use it to get the inbound ideas; we don't use it so much to have a roadmap or prioritize features. It's like an inbound channel, where the customer support team, every couple of days or whenever something comes in, acknowledges their requests, merges them, and replies to people, making sure they get acknowledged.
How was the setup process?
It was a while ago. I don't remember it being hard, so I figure it was easy. We have integration with the JWT, and it was easy enough, no issues. It is also really handy when people who are logged in to your app are also logged in on Nolt.
What were the benefits you or your team got?
We get visibility of what people need the most, and it really allows us to prioritize our product workflow. It’s mainly for capturing inbound ideas, and then we get to have our own roadmap process. I review the board every once in a while about what people are upvoting, what seems the most urgent.
It’s definitely useful and having a place where people can voice their requests, that itself has a lot of value. Giving the impression that you are listening to the customers, and we actually are. It's just good to know that what you think is really important is actually really important and not just in your head. It’s close to a big signal of reassurance in that sense.
If you had to describe what Nolt does in one sentence, what would that be?
It is a feedback portal. It gives people a place where they can post their feedback and feature requests.
